Women like Fatu are learning to grow a variety of vegetables both to eat and to sell by working with our local experts in Bensonville, Liberia. Fatu says:
“We did not have enough food. We’d take cassava to market and nobody wanted to buy it, and we’d have no money. So you walk there and back, but get nothing. Now I walk and sell… the help that agriculture gives, and the happiness, it’s in my body!”
With the recent success of her business, Fatu has been able to extend and fix her home, her family are now well fed and her children are going to school.
